Commissioning
If you are interested in commissioning a work by Roger, contact him at music@rogerwoolworthpetersen.com.
You may consider some of the following:
1) Depending on the work being commissioned and the composers schedule, it might take at least eight months before the first rehearsal for the composition to be completed.
2) Communicate with the composer, especially regarding the work’s length, instrumentation, date of completion, and difficulty.
3) Rates are negotiable and will vary according to the instrumentation and length of the piece.
4) A contract, drafted by the composer or the commissioning organization, will be signed by both parties
5) The name of the commissioning organization(s) will appear prominently on the title page of the published score.
